Finding the difference between Luxury and Performance can be very confusing. Theres many factors that go into play when determining the difference between the two. Factors like performance, image, and affordability play a factor. In the end all that really matters is how you feel in the car. Are you happy? Then you've succeeded.

"When people talk about cars with huge price tags, they usually use the terms “luxury cars” and “sports cars.” Some people may think that these phrases describe similar items but it’s not an absolute truth. Yes, both types of cars have a high price and both of them are associated with a luxurious lifestyle. But there is more to these notions than just money. - Doreen Fleming

Most people have their first opinion on sports cars and assume there is a large cap in terms of , price, even the actual performance itself and that simply is not the case, for most cars. Luxury Brands like Mercedes, BMW, Audi,Jaguar, etc, all make a performance variant for those cars. With very little jumps in prices. Even stepping up the top of the food chain of Luxury like Bentley, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin have a performance model/variant if not multiple. If you are looking for a specific line that gets drawn differing the two there just is not one. Stepping on the other side onto performance, top brands like Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren are also top luxury brands as well. Each brands features hand stitched leather, plush materials, nobs for A/C unit, the definition true craftsmanship. They all just so happen to have a 700hp streaming V12 that revs out to 9000 rpm, its still a luxury brand.

In all honest I would not recommend getting a luxury car without getting the performance variant. Personally I don't think its worth it for various reasons. One reason is much more expensive to have. You have to pay more at the pump, for service and even insurance. It just is not worth to be seen with what you may think is a status symbol. Even economy brands like Honda, Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet have performance variants some brands have variants that surpass the sports/performance segment it reaches all the way tom the supercar territory. In any place you look in the car community there will always be luxury and performance ties together.
